audio task
This is an image of the work i have being doing on a podcast i was given on garage band. The first change i made to the podcast was i added sounds in. By doing that i listened to the different sounds and choosing the one i thought was suitable for the podcast, i then clicked on the sound and dragged it to where i wanted it on the screen. I used 4 different sounds to start the podcast off and instead of using the full sound i clicked on apple T which cropped the sound for me so then each sound merged together to make it sound better. I then clicked the down arrow which is on the left hand side so i would be able to change the volume throughout the podcast, all i had to do was drag the box either up to make the sound louder, or drag it down to make the sound quieter. By doing this it made the podcast sound more professional.
As it is my first time using garage band i have learnt lots of different techniques, some of them are editing able to use different sounds, to edit them into my podcast, to change the volume of the sounds i have used and how to make my piece sound more professional.

Analysis of a film poster
What genre is the film? The genre of this film is a drama and a romance.
which genre conventions are referred to? two people that are facing each other, kissing so you no they are in love.
which conventions of the form are used? the two main characters, the street setting behind, the title and the names of the people involved.
Describe the mise-en-scene in detail including location, lighting, costume, make up.
the loaction is out in the street of somewhere romantic like paris, as you can see old loooking buildings blurred in the background which helps you focus more on the people in the picture and the romance between them, the lighting is natural and the costumes they are wearing smart expensive clothes which means they are quite rich.
what symbols are used in the poster? do you need audience foreknowledge to decode the symbols? the fact they are stood kissing you no it is going to be a film about their relationship.
what are the main figure/objects/backgrounds of the poster? are they represented photographically? the main objects in the background are the blurred out buildings in the street, which makes the main characters stand out more.
how does the layout of the poster affect its message? by having two people stood kissing it sends you the message its a romantic film.
describe why the designer has used the particular typeface. The typeface that is used is plain and stands out, it is like that just to look simple and effective and it stands out in the picture.
what visual camera techniques have been used? the techniques used in the poser is the long shot, because it shows the full body's so you no what they are doing and what its about.
are the messages in the poster primarily visual, verbal, or both? the message in the poster is visual because you can read the title saying "twenty years, two people.." and you can see the couple kissing an although you dont no the characters that well you would be able to guess what the film is about.
who do you think is the intended audience for the poster? why? i think the intended audience is for a teenage girl because most teenage girls are probably going through the same situation or the want it to happen to them so they enjoy watching it, but if a male watched it they would most probably get bored and prefer to watch a sci-fi or a horror.
given that all movie posters have the same purpose - to get audiences to go see a movie - what persuasive - techniques does the poster use? its makes it look like a romance with them kissing so people that like sad romantic films would be the audience for this fil.m
are "expert witness" (ie critics) quoted? no.
what pleasures (gratifications) are promised by the poster?
